About

Welcome to my website.
I am honoured by your interest in my work and thank you for your patience as you navigate the many images that are the result of my life-long passion for photography.

It’s not easy for me to write about myself, as I prefer to keep the focus of attention on the photographs rather than on the photographer. Luckily, I have the responses of those who have seen and engaged with my images at several of my exhibitions to speak about the photographs.

“Here is someone who takes photos in search of a relationship to the outside world, to the landscape, to the subject. What he makes are pictures, and he realizes that his picture is not simply an image of the world he sees through his lens. Rather, his pictures  always stand at a certain distance, because it is his way of seeing. The image stands between him and the world, his interpretation of the world, as it were.”

M. Huber

“With years of patience, he approaches Indigenous peoples, landscapes, the entire biosphere. Quiet, sometimes almost a little shy, but driven by deep interest. The reward: countless unforgettable impressions, which he captures and processes with his camera…..”

E. Badilatti

I taught geography at the Lyceum Alpinum in Zuoz for more than forty years. My aim was to enrich the students’ learning experience by showing them in depth the complexity of the earth and the complex interactions of the different spheres of our planet. To this end, I regularly took students out of the confines of the classroom, embarked on numerous excursions to various areas of the geosphere, and encouraged them to take part in challenging humanitarian missions to Romania as part of the Corps of Volunteers, which I founded and led for many years.

Exclusive adventures, unique encounters and formative experiences emphasized the importance of these projects and are documented in the numerous pictures on this website.
